“Consider Renting an
RV Before you Buy One”
Have you ever considered taking vacation
but without the hassle of taking buses or bundling up in the car, or
taking flights that are delayed?
Consider renting an RV - recreational vehicle.
Here’s why you
should first rent an RV before buying. For one, by renting you can test
and use drive several types before you deciding which one best suit your
needs. Or, you can’t afford one, so it’s better to rent.
When you’ve made the decision to rent, here are other factors you’ll
need to consider. Should you rent an RV near your home and drive this to
your vacation spot? Or fly to your vacation and rent an RV, to travel
around the county or state, you’re in.
While small RV rental companies don’t offer this option, the bigger ones
will give you a fly-drive package.
What RV should you rent? The more popular rental vehicles are the
motorhomes. Consider travel trailers, truck campers and folding camping
trailers too.
Ask the RV rental company. Do they have "housekeeping" packages (dishes,
pots, pans, etc)? How much?
Ask your RV rental dealer to familiarize you in operating the vehicle.
Whether it's your the first or the nth time, take the time to be
oriented. Features like automatic transmissions, power brakes and
steering, on different RV models, can throw you off, so get acquainted
with the vehicle.
Once you’ve committed, bring your valid driver's license. Ask to find
out what’s the minimum age for driving their rental RV.
Get proper insurance coverage. You can first call up your car insurance
carrier and ask if the rental RV is covered under that policy. Or you
could also ask the rental agency if they have insurance for the RV.
Deposit payment for the RV and you’re ready to go!.....
